Overview

Talk to Z lets you speak with Ask Z from the browser instead of typing. Use it when you want to ask about your workspace, contacts, conversations, knowledge base, or next steps while you keep working in Z360. The voice assistant runs in a docked control, so the conversation can stay active while you move between pages. Your microphone turns on when you start the session.

Start a Voice Conversation

  1. Click the voice assistant button in Z360.
  2. Review the Talk to Z panel.
  3. Click Start talking.
  4. Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
  5. Speak naturally to Ask Z.
If you are already on a phone call, finish that call before starting a Talk to Z session.

Use the Voice Controls

During a voice conversation, use the docked controls to manage the session:
  • Mute microphone pauses your microphone.
  • Unmute microphone turns your microphone back on.
  • Show transcript opens the live transcript.
  • Hide transcript closes the transcript panel.
  • End stops the voice session.
The status can show when Ask Z is connecting, listening, or speaking.

Follow the Live Transcript

Open the transcript when you want to review what you or Ask Z just said. The transcript updates as the conversation continues. The transcript is helpful when:
  • You are confirming that Ask Z understood a name, number, or record.
  • You want to review a spoken answer before taking action.
  • You are multitasking and need a quick written reference.

Move Around Z360 While Talking

The voice session is designed to continue while you navigate Z360. You can open records, check settings, or review Inbox conversations while continuing the same voice conversation. End the session when you are done so your microphone is no longer active.

Best Practices

  • Use a quiet environment when possible.
  • Open the transcript for important names, numbers, or action details.
  • Mute your microphone when you need to pause or speak to someone else.
  • End the session when the task is complete.
  • Use typed Ask Z messages when you need to paste exact text, files, or long instructions.
