Use a compatible SIP desk phone to make calls with a Z360 business number and receive calls assigned to you. Physical phones are configured per teammate from Settings > Call Preferences.

Add a Physical Phone

  1. Open Settings > Call Preferences.
  2. In Physical phones, click Add phone.
  3. Enter a Phone name, such as Office desk phone.
  4. Select the Outgoing business number that the phone should use.
  5. Click Add physical phone.
You need permission to call from a business number before you can connect a phone. If no number is available, ask an owner or admin to review the organization’s phone settings and your calling permissions.

Copy SIP Setup Values

  1. Find the phone in the Physical phones list and click Setup.
  2. Copy the SIP server, Username, Password, and Port into the phone’s SIP account settings.
  3. Also copy the displayed Transport, Audio, and DTMF values when your phone asks for them.
  4. Save the settings on the physical phone.
Keep the SIP password private. If it may have been exposed, use the phone’s action menu to rotate the credentials and update the phone.

Check the Connection and Ringing

  1. Return to the phone card in Z360 and click Check connection.
  2. Confirm the status changes to Connected.
  3. In Incoming calls, enable the phone if assigned calls should ring there.
  4. Click Save preferences.
If the phone is not connected, verify the SIP values, save them on the phone, and check the connection again. A phone must be connected before it can be enabled as a ringing destination.

Phone Statuses

  • Setup pending: Z360 has not finished provisioning the phone.
  • Connected: the phone is registered and ready to receive assigned calls.
  • Not connected: the phone was provisioned but is not currently registered.
  • Disabled: the phone is not enabled for ringing.
Remove a phone from its action menu when it is no longer needed. Removing it stops that device from receiving assigned calls.
